Fear of snakes

Fear of snakes is called ophidiophobia. Human brain is evolutionarily conditioned to be afraid of snakes and snake-like forms. This makes sense, as they’ve always been a threat to the human species. So, a fear of snakes is a common phobia among a wide variety of different types of people (A fear becomes a phobia when it’s excessive, irrational, or impacts a person's day-to-day life)
