China is the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of spices. In 2021, it produced 75 of the 109 spices listed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and accounts for half of the global trading in spices.

Mawsynram, Meghalaya is the wettest inhabited place on Earth, with an average annual rainfall of 11,419 millimetres (449.6 in). Mawsynram also holds the world record for most rainfall in a calendar year (26,093 mm in 1985) and most rainfall in a day (745 mm of rainfall on 19 August 2015)
